Following 25 years in a corporate setting, Carol Olson Johnson has launched a second career as a coach for leaders seeking greater professional results and satisfaction in their work. Based on her experience as a teacher, entrepreneur, banking manager, and in human resources at ING Financial Services, what most distinguishes Carol as a coach is her understanding of the importance of balancing what gets done with how it happens.
After receiving a B.A. from William Patterson University, Carol entered the Peace Corps and served in Venezuela. That experience, combined with graduate work in education at the University of Wisconsin, prepared her for the life and work opportunities she has enjoyed over the years. Professional certifications and training from a variety of organizations, including the Coaches Training Institute, allow Carol to assess and develop those with whom she works in a collaborative style.
All of Carol’s coaching is driven by her recognition that effective coaching requires an understanding of each client’s individual interaction and learning styles and of the particular needs, culture, and challenges of that client’s business. Combining this knowledge with both innovative and tried-and-true coaching methods and pragmatism yields growth that is durable, useful, and authentic.
